How to hold your own quiz night

Questioning where to start? Find the answers below! 

1. Before your quiz

Choose a time and venue - Having your event at the weekend or in the evening will mean more people can come.
Food and drink - Whether it's snacks or a full meal, a break in the middle to enjoy some refreshments can be a great way to raise some extra money.
Fun and Games - Games like a raffle can add some extra fun to your quiz night. You can ask local businesses for prizes or maybe see if they would be happy to sponsor the event or match the amount raised.
Find a quiz master - Do it yourself or find a friend who would like to. Maybe your priest would like to give it a go!

2. Promote your quiz

Invite everyone! - You've planned a great event, now it's time to spread the word! Put details in the parish newsletter and on the noticeboard and ask people to spread the word using social media, email and Whatsapp. Friends, family, parishioners and neighbours - invite everyone!

3. Are you ready to quiz it up?

Raising money for an excellent cause - Charging admission (even if it's only tiny) is a great way to cover costs and provide a donation to CAFOD. A contactless device and basket can collect extra donations on the day. for cash and card donations. To really inspire your parish, ask someone else to talk about CAFOD or show a video of our work.
