As a partnership organisation, CAFOD is committed to actively confronting systemic inequalities, biases and power imbalances alongside local partners and like-minded organisations.
CAFOD’s 10-year strategic framework, Our Common Home, reaffirms our commitment to support and enable people, communities and local partners to be artisans of their own destiny. The strategy explicitly emphasises the need to strengthen locally-led capacity, amplify local voices where appropriate, promote direct access to institutional funding, and remove barriers to participation in coordination and decision-making spaces.
In placing local leadership, agency and voice at the centre of our work, CAFOD aims to contribute to systemic change in the aid sector by creating an enabling environment in which communities and the organisations that represent them can lead sustainable change from within, while simultaneously generating evidence and learning that can influence others to do the same.
